Gulfport suspect behind bars after taxi cab robbery
A Gulfport man was arrested Monday after he allegedly robbed a taxi cab driver, according to Gulfport Police Chief Alan Weatherford.
The cab driver was able to provide police with a description of the suspect along with surveillance video. Weatherford said that suspect is 33-year-old Jerico Deshaun Howard of Gulfport.
Weatherford said Howard was developed as the suspect after being recognized in surveillance video.
He was located and transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center. Harrison County Justice Court Judge Melvin Ray set his bond at $150,000.
